THE TEAM
Jeff Fallick, PresidentJeff started his career at United Health Care and then spent four years at Blue Shield of California managing their small group sales division for Northern California. In addition, he spent several years at eHealth Insurance, a leading national health insurance agency, and NaviMedix, Inc., a healthcare technology company that provides a platform enabling physicians and hospitals to communicate with health insurance companies via the Internet.
Jeff grew up in Sunnyvale, California and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Psychology. Jeff is an avid San Francisco Giants and Miami Dolphins fan and enjoys golfing, travel and playing drums. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors for Community Gatepath of Burlingame; a non-profit organization in San Mateo County that provides early childhood development services to children with special needs and vocational training to adults with disabilities. He lives with his wife and two children in Los Altos.
Leigh Patterson, Vice President, Small Group Account Management
Leigh has run the FIS Small Group (2-50 employees) Account Management team since May, 2006. She started her career at a Home Health Agency as a Scheduling Coordinator before spending four years at Electronic Arts in the Human Resources department as a Benefits Specialist. She also worked for two other employee benefits agencies as an Account Manager prior to joining the FIS team.
Leigh obtained a degree in Psychology from Cal State Hayward and a Masters’ degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. Leigh enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She is a 49ers fan and wishes the football season was longer.
Mary Landen, Vice President, Large Group Account Management
Mary has been in the insurance field since 1986 serving in multiple capacities throughout her career. She started her career as an administrative assistant and within a few years was running operations for a million dollar agency. After 10 years of running business operations, Mary transitioned to sales and account management. She joined Gold Star Insurance Services as Vice President of Employee Benefits. After the agency was sold, Mary worked for the General Agent, BenefitMall, where she supported hundreds of agencies across the bay area including FIS. Mary joined FIS in 2009 as Vice President of Large Group Account Management and runs the Account Management and Service Team that supports companies with 51-500+ employees.
Mary has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She and her husband Brian have two children, Danielle and Justin. Her spare time is spent with her family and especially enjoys watching her children excel in their chosen sports. In addition to family Mary enjoys reading and traveling.
Matthew Kosciusko, Vice President of Employee Benefits
Matt comes to FIS from Anthem Blue Cross, where he spent five years as a Sales Account Executive for Northern CA Large Group Sales.
Prior to his career in Employee Benefits, Matt worked in Tokyo for the Japanese Ministry of Education working with local language teachers and developing the English language curriculum for Junior High School. Following Japan, Matt moved to San Francisco, where he became a licensed Options trader on the Pacific Stock Exchange and later the Chicago Board of Options and Equities.
Matt grew up just outside of Boston, Massachusetts where he began rowing from an early age. Crew led him California where he rowed for and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Matt has a double degree in Business Communications and Japanese Language and Culture. He is fluent in Japanese and travels back to Japan often. He and his wife Melissa live in San Francisco with their two children, Ciaran and Lyla. Matt is a longtime skateboarder, snowboarder and water sport enthusiast. He and Melissa love tropical travel and have scuba dived together all over the world.
Shannon Vincent, President and Co-Founder FV Asset Management
Shannon is a CPA and has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. He started his career at KPMG in San Francisco then worked for OUM, a well known regional accounting firm located in San Francisco, specializing in high net worth individuals and emerging growth business. Shannon then spent six years at RAN ONE, an international consulting company, including two years as the Chief Operating Officer of a 10MM business unit. Shannon was the Managing Partner of ReNew Financial Partners for seven years before joining FIS as a small group benefits specialist and co-founding FV Asset Management, a 401K Services and Asset Management Firm.
Shannon is a member of the California Society of CPAs. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with an emphasis in accounting from University of California, Santa Barbara, and now resides in Oakland with his wife Jackie where he enjoys music and playing tennis.
Selina Davis, Account Coordinator
Selina comes to FIS from Wells Fargo Insurance Services as an Account Coordinator with 4 years of insurance background. She was instrumental in the coordination and service of key multimillion dollar large group accounts. Selina brings a broad range of knowledge and experience to the firm.
She is currently working towards an advanced degree in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing. She has been active in the Bay Area community as a devoted participant in the American Heart Association’s yearly Heart Walk and Rebuilding Together, a non-profit organization for the disabled and elderly. She enjoys traveling, working out and watching the San Jose Sharks.
Kristin Kotval, Client Services Representative
Kristin comes to FIS from the Burke Williams Day Spa as a Human Resource/Payroll Manager after spending seven years in the industry. She held an integral role in administering and managing all employee benefits and HR Compliance.
Kristin holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from West Valley College and is currently working towards a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. She is very involved in the American Cancer Society, and enjoys coordinating fundraising events. Kristin currently resides in Sunnyvale, California. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, marathon training, and is a huge San Jose Sharks and Stockton Thunder hockey fan.
Bob Welsh, President and Co-Founder
Fallick & Welsh Insurance Services, Inc.
Bob has spent nearly 20 years in the insurance and technology industries. Prior to founding Fallick & Welsh, Bob was a Principal at an East Bay insurance brokerage which focused on small and mid-market employer groups.
Bob grew up in Santa Clara, California and graduated from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA. Bob is a long time San Francisco Giants fan, and enjoys running, golfing and skiing. Bob is a member of the Golden Gate Association of Health Underwriters and National Association of Health Underwriters. He lives in Danville with his wife and their three children.
